Happy 2011 everyone...

This post is rather late as i had been a little laid back these days...

Christmas is a season of gifts and love. and the true meaning of Christmas may not be the focus of many. Christmas is the day to celebrate our Lord and savior, Jesus birthday. where He is the gift that the good Lord brought forth to save us the sinners. And we are called to continue passing on the great love and gift from the almighty Lord.

To celebrate this special day i made batches of decorated cookies for family and frens. Gingerbreadmen are easy to make and make a good family/kid's project during this festive season. if you've missed this for 2010 try planning ahead for 2011!anyways hope these little man put a smile on your face.

KokMing and WanWai's big day. It was indeed a dream come true to complete a wedding order of a 3 tiered cupcake tower with their theme colors: red, white and gold. Together with this is a big batch of wedding favors customized with their initials on them.

Occasion: Elim Family Day

These minis were made especially for Elim Family Day, Potluck dinner. These minis are the smaller version of the original cupcakes and cheesecakes, about 1/3 of the original size perhaps...This is an annual event to build good rapports and fellowship with each other. Great time we had there and lots of fun! =). Btw, the minis were the first to get off the table...in fact in the first 30 minutes! so proud of them! =)

Gosh...I am just so very proud of this little cuties! This is my second attempt making french macaroons since my first failure at least half a year ago...emmm...failure as in there weren't any "legs" on my macaroons! ish...but this time around the outcome is simply gorgeous =)

Had a bun-making lesson with my sis, Munyee on Sat. Extremely easy techniques and soft fresh bun without stabilizer and softener, Healthy and yummmm =)

These are from a new recipe in my favourite cupcake book. Ya, need to state the person who gave me the book...it's none other than my sis, Laikuan and her hubby, Heevoon..=P. It's an apricot cupcake recipe with smooth creammy cheese topping but I improvised a little by adding cranberries...they are a bit more to scones texture rather than the buttery cupcake flavor...love them! yummy...

To all cupcakes lovers, I just want to update you peps more here. For your information this is my part time job with the hope of getting funded for more professional classes as well as to sustain my love in bakery. And yes, I do have a full time job. Thus there are times I could not accept last minute order but will still try my best to fit in. It will be best if you could make your orders a lil earlier. I am not trying to be stuck up, just that I want to ensure I give my best to all of you! Please and thank you.

In addition to that, for the time being only vanila/chocolate/with or without choc chip flavor is available. Again, If you wanted something else please do make your order in advance. For special orders please be informed that your order may or may not be applied with additional charges.

A successful Friday, making some 300 pieces of cupcakes...with 100 plain ones for Elim's 'Run for the Nation program' refreshments. Another 200 pieces vanilla chocolate chip cupcakes for the Salvation Army (Ipoh) annual food fair on Saturday. Thanx to my mum, bro, aunty and cousins in helping out. Good news is that all cupcakes were happily sold out! =P

Last month we had a farewell eat-out to send our dear friend, Karwai off to UK. I prepared a cake or rather cupcakes for that night. Told you, cupcakes is great for anytime! It's easier to distribute the cakes around as, again, cupcakes come in individual serving and everyone get a complete piece of nicely decorated cuppies.

My interest in baking started a few years back when I was still in my secondary education years. It all begun when an aunty of mine suggested that I should sell some New Year cookies to get some pocket money during the term breaks. Remembering that my aunty had to drive her super oven to my place for the sake of my little business then. What else? There I grabbed every opportunity in baking some cakes once I'm off from baking my cookies.

A year ago, we had our house renovated and had a built-in oven ready for all my experiments. I have totally no idea on when I had started to developed a love for cupcakes. Being a not-so-girlish-girl, I somehow got so mesmerized in decorating cupcakes.

The cupcakes are in trend now. They're in individual portions, creatively decorated with different types of frostings. It simply save the hassles to having the need in dividing the one single 9-inch cake into a desired number.

As this is my very first post in this blog there'll be definitely more to come. Details on orders will follow soon.
